OK, it’s pretty obvious that I like wine….
I have many interests in my semi-retirement phase of life. I still have a consulting business in Denver (Rocky Mountain West Transit & Urban Planning – http://www.rmwplanning.net) but am pretty much done with my projects – unless anyone out there needs help. I am a part-time musician as a solo Irish music player (www.caratrom.com) and in an Americana/roots band called The Dragonflies. I am a full-time hockey fan (let’s go Avs!). And I love to travel – Hawaii, Nova Scotia, and Europe (the UK, Ireland, France, and Italy are my favorites there). I’ve led a full, fulfilling life. But the one thing that has eluded me is…. a wine bar. I love wine and have longed to open my own establishment, though I know it would probably interfere with my hockey games and my travel. So I have decided to do the next best thing – start tasting and describing some of the best wines in the world in a way that is accessible to me and my budget and to yours. Happy tasting!
